College is a learning sanctuary for students. However, low-income students have a more challenging path to entry. Many low-income students forgo a 4-year college education due to costs. Last year, low-income students dropped out at alarming rates.

While modest progress is showing for minority students, only 42% of black students complete their college education. Graduation rates amongst low-income minority students are lower.

For many low-income minority families, a college degree presents a path out of poverty. Current tuition prices can make a degree feel out of reach for low-income families. If you are pursuing a degree in business administration, consider applying for the Sam’s Club Scholars Program.

Sam’s Club has partnered with UNCF to deliver need-based scholarships. The scholarship applies to sophomores and juniors at UNCF member institutions.
